PAGE 1 • NOTES & THOUGHTS
Being grounded in a culture conditioned for hurry.
Current culture conditions us to sprint from notification to notification, hustle so much we don’t know why we are doing it, and absorb way too much negative information that we forget to nurture our own lives, our environment, and loved ones right in front of us. We mistake frantic survival for purposeful living. We need to slow down and kick it back a bit more like the 80’s and 90’s! Honestly, I think many of us are missing that! We might not be able to go back, but we can learn from it and implement it the best we can. Do what we CAN do. It starts at home. It starts with ourselves: mind, heart, and soul.
My Grounding Baseline (Reclaiming one 80s/90s habit): One physical habit to implement in my home today:PAGE 2 • PEACE
Savoring the morning before inviting mental noise.
☕️ If I go on TikTok, I make sure it’s to post and not scroll; my heart cannot take the algorithm feeding me baby and child brutality & abuse. I ask myself: “Does content inform/teach me anything helpful? How does absorbing this content affect my countenance?”
What feels hurried in my mornings right now? My grounded posture for today (Steadfast, Gentle, or Patient):PAGE 3 • DAILY RHYTHMS & REST
Choosing quiet substance over frantic speed (Don’t hustle just to hustle).
Remember the days when we lingered a little longer?
PAGE 4 • IN-PERSON CONNECTION
Creating reality outside the algorithm & breaking isolation through simple presence (This goes for men, too!).
PAGE 5 • REFLECTION
Nourishment Through Absorption

A Movement of Women Carrying the Flame[span_13](start_span)[span_13](end_span)[span_14](start_span)[span_14](end_span)
When hot coals are stirred and cozied together, they give off wonderful warmth, steady heat, and re-ignite a blazing flame[span_15](start_span)[span_15](end_span). Stirring Embers brings women together to share what is real, walk through life's fires, and enrich each other in purpose, faith, and design[span_16](start_span)[span_16](end_span)[span_17](start_span)[span_17](end_span).
Questions you have saved to revisit by the fire, table, and porch.
